About the Guest Post and Outreach Templates
Type who you are, the site you want to write for and its editor, up to three topic ideas, why you can write them and a link to your work, and say whether money, a free product or a link swap is part of the deal. You get a first pitch with subject lines, two follow-ups with the days to send them, a thank-you note for when the article goes live, a short author bio with its link marked the right way, and a guest post checklist. The checklist and the warnings come from Google's link spam policy and its guidance on qualifying links. It runs in your browser with fixed templates, not AI, and sends nothing: you copy each email into your own inbox.
How it works
-
01
Fill in your name, business, a line about yourself, your website and a sample of your writing, then the site you are pitching and its editor's name.
-
02
Add up to three topic ideas and why you can write them, say whether money, a free product or a link swap is involved, and type the link text you plan to use.
-
03
Read each template in its tab, change what does not sound like you, copy it into your email, and work through the checklist before and after the article goes live.
What Google says about guest posts
Google does not discourage guest articles that inform readers, teach another site's audience something or make people aware of your business. What breaks its rules is using guest posts mainly to get links: its link spam policy lists links with keyword-rich anchor text in guest posts, links bought with money, goods or services, and excessive link swaps. Google says such links are not a violation when they carry rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow", so the templates ask for that whenever something is given in return.
How the templates are written
Each email is a fixed template filled with your own words: the pitch introduces you, names an article of theirs only if you read one, lists your ideas with a line on each, says why you can write them and what you ask in return, and offers an outline. The follow-ups go out 5 and 10 working days after the pitch, then you stop: that timing is our suggestion, not a rule. The friendly and formal tones change the greeting and a few phrases.
What this tool cannot do
It does not find sites to pitch, look up editors or send emails, and it does not visit the site you are pitching. It does not write your article. The link text check is our own word list of selling and place words, so it can miss a keyword-rich phrase or flag a fair one. Whether a link carries nofollow or sponsored is up to the site that publishes it; check the live article with the Article Link and Anchor Text Checker.
Frequently asked questions
Are guest posts bad for SEO?
Not in themselves. Google says it does not discourage guest articles that inform users, educate another site's audience or bring awareness to your business. The problem is writing them mainly for links: Google says using guest posts for links is against its spam policies, and that such links should carry rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored" so they do not affect search results.
A site wants a fee to publish my article. Is that allowed?
Paying for a post is a paid placement. Google's link spam policy covers links that pass ranking credit in return for money, but says paid links are not a violation when they are marked rel="sponsored" (preferred) or rel="nofollow". Choose "Money" in the tool and the pitch asks for rel="sponsored" on your links. If the site refuses to mark them, think twice before paying.
What link text should I use in a guest post?
Your name, your business name or the name of the page you link to. Google's link spam policy lists links with optimised anchor text in guest posts, and its link guidance asks for descriptive, reasonably concise link text. Phrases like "best dentist in Pune" are what the tool flags.
How many times should I follow up?
Our suggestion is twice: once 5 working days after the pitch and once 5 working days after that, then stop and pitch somewhere else. Editors are busy, and a short, polite follow-up is easier to answer than a long one. Type the day you send the pitch and the tool shows both dates.
Can I publish the same article on my own site and as a guest post?
It is better to write something new for the other site's readers. Google lists duplicating the full content of articles from your own site as a warning sign in guest post campaigns, and says that if you do it, the guest copy should carry rel="canonical" pointing to your page as well as rel="nofollow" on its links.
