Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information DigitalSnot ("we", "us") collects through digitalsnot.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We have kept it short and specific to how this website actually works.
Who we are
DigitalSnot is a digital marketing agency offering SEO, AI search optimisation, content and local SEO services. For any privacy question or request, email hello@digitalsnot.com.
Information you give us
When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect:
- your name and email address (required)
- your phone number, company, website, the service you are interested in and your budget range (optional)
- your message
- your agreement to be contacted about your enquiry
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Information collected automatically
- With your enquiry: the page you sent it from, any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), your IP address and your browser's user agent. We use these to understand which pages bring enquiries and to block spam and abuse.
- Missing pages: when someone visits an address that does not exist, we record the address, the referring page and the browser type so we can fix broken links. We do not record IP addresses for this.
- Server and security logs: our hosting keeps standard technical logs, and we limit how often forms can be submitted from one connection to prevent abuse.
Cookies
We use two essential cookies that the website needs to work: a session cookie and a security token (XSRF-TOKEN) that protects forms against forged submissions. They expire when your session ends or shortly after.
We may also use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site, such as Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and Microsoft Clarity. When enabled, these tools set their own cookies and process information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. Their use is governed by Google's privacy policy and Microsoft's privacy statement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work without analytics cookies.
To stop spam, our contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that processes technical information about your browser. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and send you an automatic confirmation that we received it
- to prepare a proposal and, if you become a client, to deliver and manage our services
- to keep our website secure and free of spam
- to understand which content and pages are useful, so we can improve them
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without asking.
Our legal basis
We process the information in your enquiry with your consent, which you give when you tick the box on the contact form, and to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract. We process technical and security information because it is necessary to run a safe website. For visitors in India this follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; for visitors in the UK and European Union, our bases are consent, contract and legitimate interests under the GDPR.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, and only as much as they need:
- our website hosting and database provider
- our email provider, which delivers our replies and enquiry alerts to our team
- Meta (WhatsApp), if we use it to alert our team to a new enquiry
- tools such as Google Sheets or an automation service, if we use them to track enquiries
- analytics and security providers described in the Cookies section
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users or the public. Some providers process data outside your country; where they do, we rely on their published safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and manage any work that follows, and longer only where the law requires us to keep business records. Records of logins to our admin area are deleted automatically after 180 days. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS, the admin area is limited to our team and protected by strong passwords and optional two-factor authentication, and stored access tokens are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your information
- withdraw your consent (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it)
- object to or restrict how we use it
Email hello@digitalsnot.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the UK or EU, to your local data protection authority.

Our website and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
