    36 guides and 47 posts

Each guide and post names its author at the top, and links to their page with their background and everything they have written.

How we write a guide or post

  1. Facts come from the official source

Search rules come from Google Search Central, advertising rules from Google Ads Help and Merchant Center Help, and platform rules from the help pages of YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp Business. Indian rules come from the body that sets them, such as CBIC for GST, ASCI and the Department of Consumer Affairs for advertising claims, and Legal Metrology for packaging. If we cannot check a claim against a source like these, we leave it out.

  2. Sources are listed on the page

Each guide and post ends with the sources it relies on, with links, so you can read them yourself.

  3. No invented numbers or results

We do not make up statistics, quotes or case results, and our articles make no claims about our clients' results.

  4. Examples are made up, and say so

Examples use invented businesses, such as "Smile Studio Dental, Kothrud, Pune". Sample pages are marked as samples.

  5. Dates and changes

Each guide shows when it was last updated. Google and the platforms change their rules often; when a rule we rely on changes, we update the guides and tools that use it.

  6. Guest articles

People from outside the team can pitch an article through our Write for us page. We edit and check it the same way, it says it is by a guest contributor, and links the writer adds to other sites carry rel="nofollow". Nobody pays us to publish, and we do not pay for articles.

Want to write for us? See Write for us for the topics we want and how to pitch.

How our tools work

  • Scores are our checklist

A tool score is our own measure, based on the official guidance the tool cites. It is not a score from Google, ChatGPT or any other company, and no tool can tell you how Google will rank a page.

  • We never ask the AI assistants ourselves

Our AI visibility tools do not send questions to ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity. They work on answers you ask for and paste in.

  • We only read public pages

Tools that check a web address fetch only what anyone can see. We never sign in to your website, ad accounts, social accounts or seller accounts.

  • Each tool says what it cannot do

Every tool page has a note on its limits, and a short guide on how to use it.

How we make money

  • We sell SEO, AI search, local SEO and Google Ads services. The guides, posts and tools are free to read and use.
  • Some tools that fetch pages have a limited number of free checks, so our servers are not overloaded.
  • Some pages link to our services or offer a free audit. If you send us a tool result, we may reply about our services; it does not commit you to anything.
