Guest articles
Write for us
Share what you have tested in SEO, AI search or Google Ads with business owners in India.
We publish guest articles from people who do the work: SEO specialists, Google Ads managers, developers, content writers and business owners. Send a short pitch first, not a finished article. If it fits, we plan it with you, edit it, check every fact against its official source and publish it under your name. We do not charge, we do not pay, and we do not sell links.
Updated

Topics we want
Practical articles for business owners and marketers in India, built on something you have done.
-
Local SEO
Business Profiles for clinics, shops and service businesses, reviews, and service area pages that help customers instead of repeating one page with a new town name.
-
AI search
How AI Overviews and assistants pick their sources, what you can measure by hand, and what changed when you tried something.
-
Technical SEO
Indexing problems, site moves, JavaScript sites and speed on shared hosting, with the fix that worked.
-
Google Ads
Search campaigns on small budgets, negative keywords, conversion tracking with consent, and reading the search terms report.
-
Content
Briefs, refreshing old articles, topic clusters for service businesses, and writing that earns trust.
-
Selling online
Product pages, Merchant Center feeds and marketplace listings for Indian sellers.
What we do not publish
- Beginner explainers, such as "what is SEO", that many sites already cover well.
- Lists of tools, and articles written mainly to sell a product or service.
- Paid links, link exchanges, private blog networks or any other tactic that breaks Google's spam policies.
- Articles already published anywhere else, including your own site or LinkedIn.
- Topics outside marketing and selling online.
What makes us say yes
-
You have done it
The article comes from your own work: what you tried, what happened and what you would do differently. Google's guidance on helpful content asks for this first-hand experience.
-
It answers a real question
People search for it or ask it, and the article answers it in the first few lines.
-
Facts come from the source
Rules come from Google Search Central, Google Ads Help, YouTube Help or the body that sets them, with links. A claim that cannot be checked comes out.
-
It fits Indian businesses
Examples, prices and rules that make sense for a business in India.
Research the question before you pitch
Check what people search, and what already answers it, before you pitch. It is how we choose between pitches. It is not about fitting keywords into the text: write for the reader, and use the research to decide what to cover.
-
Start from a real question
Use questions your clients ask, the queries in Google Search Console, or keyword ideas from Keyword Planner in a Google Ads account.
-
Search it yourself
Look at the pages that come up and any AI summary. Note what the searcher wants: steps, a comparison, a price or a definition.
-
Find the gap
What do the current answers miss that you know from your own work? That gap is your pitch.
-
Name the main query and three to five related questions
Put them in your pitch. They become the headings and the questions at the end.

| Main query | What the searcher wants | An angle we would take |
|---|---|---|
| google business profile suspended | To fix a problem now | The appeal evidence that worked, step by step, and what to stop doing |
| service area pages seo | To learn how | Area pages with local proof, and how they differ from doorway pages |
| negative keywords for a dental clinic | A list to use | A starter list built from real search terms reports, grouped by theme |
These are examples of the thinking we want, not topics reserved for anyone.
Free tools that help with the research
- Search Intent Checker Paste the top 10 results for a keyword and see what searchers want and which page to make.
- Customer Question Clusterer Group customer questions into topics and see which need a page and which an FAQ.
- Content Brief Builder Turn a keyword and the top pages' headings into a writer's brief with an outline, questions and links.
- SEO Keyword Cannibalization Checker Find searches where two or more of your pages compete, and whether to merge, redirect or link them.
How it works
-
Send a pitch
A working title, the main question it answers, a short outline, why you can write it, and links to two articles you have published.
-
We reply
Within 10 working days if it fits, with notes on the angle and the outline. If you have not heard from us by then, it is not a fit this time.
-
You write the draft
In a Google Doc we can comment on, with your own screenshots.
-
We edit and check
We edit for clarity and British English, check every fact against its source, and add links to our guides and tools where they help the reader. You approve the final version.
-
It goes live under your name
With your photo, a short bio and your own author page. We keep the article up to date, and may update or remove it when the rules it covers change.
Writing guidelines
- Original and unpublished: not on your site, LinkedIn or anywhere else, and not offered to another site at the same time.
- You may use AI tools for research or to tidy your writing. The experience, examples and checks must be yours, and every fact must be checked against its source. Tell us in your pitch how you used AI.
- Answer the main question in the first few lines, then explain.
- Use a made-up business for examples, or a real one only with its written permission. Screenshots must be your own.
- No invented statistics, quotes or results: every figure needs a source we can open.
- List your sources at the end, with links.
Every article follows our editorial policy, the same rules our own guides follow.
Links, money and credit
- Your article shows your name and links to your author page, which has your photo, bio and LinkedIn profile.
- Links you add to other sites carry rel="nofollow". Google's spam policies count links with optimised anchor text in guest posts as link spam, so this protects your site and ours. We remove links that do not help the reader.
- We never take payment for an article or a link, and we do not publish sponsored posts. If someone offers to sell you a post on DigitalSnot, it is not from us.
Send a pitch
A pitch takes about ten minutes. Tell us what the article answers, how you would cover it and why you are the right person to write it.
- One idea per pitch
- The main query and the questions it answers
- Links to two articles you have published
- A reply within 10 working days if it fits
Questions
Do you pay for guest articles, or charge to publish them?
Neither. We do not pay writers and we never charge to publish. What you get is a byline, an author page and an article read by business owners and marketers in India.
Can I include a link to my website?
Your author page links to your LinkedIn profile. Links to other sites in the article are fine where they help the reader, and they carry rel="nofollow". Articles written to place links are declined.
Do you accept articles written with AI?
We accept articles where AI helped, not articles AI wrote. Google judges content by how helpful it is, not by how it was made, but it treats large amounts of unchecked AI text as spam. Your experience and examples must be your own, every fact must be checked, and your pitch should say how you used AI.
How long should the article be?
As long as the topic needs. Most of our guides and posts run between 1,500 and 2,000 words, but a clear 900-word answer is better than a padded 3,000-word one.
Can I write about my own product or agency?
You can use your own work as the example. The article must still be useful to a reader who never buys from you; articles written to sell are declined.
Can I republish the article on my own site or LinkedIn?
Please do not republish the full article. Share a short summary or a few lines in your own words, with a link to it.
How soon will I hear back?
Within 10 working days if your pitch fits. If you have not heard from us by then, it is not a fit this time, and you are welcome to pitch a different idea.
Before you pitch, read a few of our guides and blog posts to see the style we edit to.
