How to use the AI Brand Fact Checker

Read what the guide says

This is the AI Brand Fact Checker.

It checks what AI answers say about your business against your own website.

Assistants sometimes give an old phone number or wrong price, or say a business has closed.

Check what they tell your customers.

Ask an assistant about your business, and paste the whole answer here.

Or press Try an example, to fill in sample answers about a made-up clinic.

Enter your website, and any facts it does not show yet. What you type wins.

Then press Check the facts.

Here, five of the ten claims we could check match the site.

The score is our measure, not a score from Google or any assistant.

These boxes count claims that differ, match, can't be checked, or are a risk.

Start with this list: wrong facts that cost customers come first.

Here, one answer says the clinic has closed, and another gives a number that is not on the site.

Each claim shows what the answer says, what your site says, and the verdict.

Press Differs to see only the wrong ones.

Each wrong fact shows where the wrong value probably comes from.

Open Phone number: show one number, written the same way, on your site and in your schema.

Then report the wrong answer where you saw it.

You also get a key facts block and schema to publish.

Fix your sources, then ask the assistants again in a few weeks.

You can also email yourself a PDF of the result.

Usually your homepage. We also read your contact, About and prices pages when it links to them.

As answers write it, for example "Smile Studio Dental".

Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot or Google something like "Tell me about [your business] in [your area]: address, phone, timings, prices and when it started", and paste the whole answer. Put a line with --- between answers; a first line such as "ChatGPT" labels each one.

What you type wins over your website. Use it for facts your site does not show yet, or when your site is out of date.

We do not ask any assistant ourselves. We check the exact answer you saw, so it is free and shows what your customers see. Answers change from run to run, so paste more than one.

About the AI Brand Fact Checker

AI assistants sometimes give customers an old phone number, the wrong price or timings, or say a business has closed when it has not. Paste what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot or Google says about your business, and we compare every checkable claim with your own website and with the facts you type. You get each claim with a verdict, what to fix first, where wrong facts usually come from, and a key facts block and LocalBusiness schema to publish. We do not ask the assistants ourselves: we check the exact answer you saw, so it is free and shows what your customers see.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Ask an assistant about your business, for example "Tell me about Smile Studio Dental in Kothrud: address, phone, timings and prices", and copy the whole answer. Ask more than one assistant, and the same question more than once, because answers change.

  2. Step 2

Paste the answers with a line of three dashes (---) between them and enter your website. Add any facts your site does not show, one per line: what you type wins over your site.

  3. Step 3

We read your homepage and up to three linked pages (contact, About, prices) and mark each claim as matching, different, impossible to check or a reputation risk, with what to fix first.

Why wrong facts in AI answers matter

People ask assistants for a clinic's number, timings or fees and act on the answer. A wrong number or a "permanently closed" claim sends customers elsewhere, and a wrong price or founding year makes the rest of the answer harder to trust. Assistants build answers from many sources, including old listings, directories and articles, so one out-of-date source can keep being repeated.

What it checks

Phone numbers (with +91, 0 and landline formats), emails, websites, street, area, city and PIN code, founding year and years of experience, prices in ₹, Rs, INR and lakh, ratings and review counts, opening days and hours (including 24/7), numbers of branches, doctors or clients, founder and doctor names, "permanently closed" style claims, and risky words near your name such as scam, fraud, complaints or overpriced. Risky words are flagged as a reputation risk, not as false.

What it cannot do

It cannot know what an assistant will say tomorrow or to someone else, because answers change from run to run. It reads only your homepage and up to three linked pages, so facts elsewhere on your site show as "cannot check". It cannot read your Google Business Profile or directory listings, or tell which source an assistant used. The score is our own measure of the claims we could check, not a score from Google or any assistant, and fixing sources does not change answers at once or guarantee a change.

Frequently asked questions

Why does ChatGPT show the wrong phone number for my business?

Assistants build answers from sources such as directory listings, old pages on your site, social profiles and articles. If any of them still shows an old number, the answer can repeat it. Find the old number on your site and listings, replace it with one main number written the same way everywhere, and keep the old line forwarding while answers still quote it.

Google says my business is permanently closed. What should I do?

Check your Google Business Profile on Search and Maps first. If it shows your business as closed by mistake, Google's steps are Edit profile, then Hours, then "Open with main hours". A wrong "Permanently closed (location moved)" status needs Google Business Profile support. Then correct any directory that shows you as closed, keep your homepage up to date, and report the wrong answer.

How do I correct what AI assistants say about my business?

Fix the sources first, then report the answer. Publish the correct facts in text on your site and in LocalBusiness schema, update your Google Business Profile and listings, and ask other sites to correct old details. Then use the feedback options: the thumbs down in ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews or AI Mode, and the flag icon in Perplexity. Nothing guarantees a change.

Does this tool ask ChatGPT or Gemini itself?

No. There is no free, official way to get the exact answers people see, and the paid APIs can answer differently from the apps. You ask the assistant, copy the answer and paste it here, so we check exactly what you saw. That keeps the tool free, and it works with any assistant, including Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.

How long does it take for AI answers to change after I fix my facts?

There is no fixed time and no guarantee. Assistants that search the web can pick up a change once they read your updated pages and listings, while facts a model learned earlier can take longer to change. Fix your site, Business Profile and listings, then check again every few weeks, asking the same question several times and in more than one assistant.
