About the AI Search Readiness Checker
Enter a page and get a readiness score from 15+ checks: crawler access, indexing, answer-first opening, sections, FAQs, lists and tables, structured data, author, dates, sources and depth. You get the three fixes to do first, step-by-step instructions for your platform, ready-to-paste schema, and the passages an AI answer could already quote.
How it works
-
Step 1
Enter the page you want AI assistants to recommend or quote.
-
Step 2
We fetch the page and its robots.txt and read the HTML the way a crawler does (no JavaScript).
-
Step 3
You get a score out of 100 and a list of passes, warnings and fixes, with links to our guides.
What the score measures
Signals that make a page easy to find, trust and quote: whether AI search crawlers can reach it, whether it answers the question up front, whether facts are structured and sourced, and whether it says who is behind it.
What it cannot measure
No tool can see inside an AI model or promise citations. Brand reputation, reviews and mentions on other sites also matter and are outside a single page.
Pages built with JavaScript
We read the HTML the server sends. If your content only appears after JavaScript runs, some crawlers may see less than your visitors do.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good score?
Treat it as a checklist, not a grade. Above 80 means the basics are in place; the warnings show the quickest wins.
Does a high score guarantee AI citations?
No. It means the page is technically easy to use. Whether an assistant cites it also depends on the question, competing pages and your reputation elsewhere on the web.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
It is optional. llms.txt is a proposal; Google says it is not needed for its AI features, and other major engines have not confirmed using it. We show it for information only and it does not affect the score.
Why does structured data matter for AI search?
Schema states facts in a machine-readable way: who the business is, its address, author, dates and FAQs. It helps search engines understand the page, and AI answers in search build on that understanding.
Can I check a competitor's page?
Yes. Comparing your page with one that is already cited often shows what to improve first.
