How to use the Google Review Inbox

Read what the guide says

This is the Google Review Inbox.

Paste your Google reviews to see themes, what to answer first,

suggested replies and possible policy breaks.

Paste your reviews, or open a CSV with columns such as Name, Rating, Date,

Review and Owner reply.

Or press Try an example to fill in sample details.

Add your business name, the reply language and a phone or email for complaints.

Work down the reply-first list: edit each suggested reply, copy it into your Business Profile,

set its status and download the CSV.

It cannot fetch your reviews or post replies: paste the reviews in, and copy each reply into your Business Profile.

It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.

Try it free on this page.

Runs in your browser. Reviews are not uploaded.

Copied text with names, stars (★★★★☆, 4/5 or 4 stars) and dates such as "3 weeks ago" works, and so does a table with a header row. Add a reply column to see which reviews are not answered yet.

CSV, TSV or text, up to 5 MB. The file is read on this page only.

About the Google Review Inbox

Paste reviews copied from your Business Profile or Google Maps, or open a CSV file, and get a review inbox: the count, average rating, rating spread and monthly trend; the themes customers mention, such as staff, price, waiting time, cleanliness, results and parking, with example quotes; a reply-first list with low ratings, safety and refund complaints and recent reviews at the top; a suggested reply for each review in English, Hinglish or Hindi; and reviews that may break Google's policies, with the steps to report them. Everything stays in your browser, and phone numbers and email addresses are hidden.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Paste your reviews, or open a CSV with columns such as Name, Rating, Date, Review and Owner reply.

  2. Step 2

Add your business name, the reply language and a phone or email for complaints.

  3. Step 3

Work down the reply-first list: edit each suggested reply, copy it into your Business Profile, set its status and download the CSV.

How the order and themes are worked out

Themes come from keyword groups in English and Hinglish, such as "wait", "queue" and "der" for waiting time. The reply-first order gives most weight to 1 and 2 star reviews, then to mentions of safety, health, refunds or legal action, reviews you have not answered and recent ones. Both are our measure, not Google's, so read the reviews themselves before you act.

Google's rules for reviews and replies

Google removes reviews that break its policies, for example fake engagement, conflict of interest, off-topic content, advertising, personal information or profanity. A review you disagree with is not a reason to report it. Google asks for replies that are clear, helpful and polite, suggests keeping them short, and does not allow incentives for reviews or asking only happy customers.

What this tool cannot do

It cannot fetch your reviews or post replies: paste the reviews in, and copy each reply into your Business Profile. If what you paste has no stars, we guess a rating from the words, which can be wrong. The policy flags are prompts to look again, not decisions: only Google decides whether a review breaks its policies.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my Google reviews into this tool?

Copy them from your Business Profile or Google Maps and paste them, one review after another: names, stars and dates such as "3 weeks ago" are read where they appear. You can also paste or open a table with a header row, for example from a spreadsheet you keep, with columns such as Name, Rating, Date, Review and Owner reply.

Which Google reviews should I reply to first?

Start with 1 and 2 star reviews, especially any that mention safety, health, a refund or legal action, then reviews you have not answered and the most recent ones. That is the order this tool uses (our measure). Reply calmly, keep it short, and ask the customer to contact you by phone or email to sort out the problem.

Can I get a bad Google review removed?

Only if it breaks Google's policies, for example it is fake, written by someone with a conflict of interest, off-topic, or contains personal information or profanity. Report it from your Business Profile or Google's Reviews Management Tool. A check typically takes several days, and if no violation is found you can appeal once.

Are my reviews uploaded anywhere?

No. The reviews are read and analysed in your browser, and nothing is sent to our server or to Google. Phone numbers and email addresses in reviews are hidden in the results and the CSV. Statuses you set are saved in this browser under a short code, not the review text.

Should I reply to positive reviews too?

It is worth it: a short thank-you that mentions something specific from the review reads as personal. The tool drafts a reply for every review, in English, Hinglish or Hindi, using our Review Reply Templates. Google checks replies before they appear, usually within 10 minutes, though it can take up to 30 days.
