About the Festival Greeting Post Maker
Pick a festival from our India calendar, a design and a size, and a ready greeting in English, Hindi or Hinglish that you can change. Add your business name, an offer if you have one, your phone number and your logo. You get a live preview, PNG and JPEG downloads at Instagram's post sizes or a 9:16 story and status size, and a matching caption with hashtags to copy. The designs are drawn in code, with lights, patterns, borders and colours, and the post is made in your browser: nothing you type or open is uploaded.
The sizes and where they come from
Instagram Help supports photo shapes from 1.91:1 to 4:5 at 1080 pixels wide, so the tool makes 1080 × 1350 portrait and 1080 × 1080 square posts. For stories it makes 1080 × 1920, the size Meta recommends for Stories ads, and keeps the text out of the top 14% and bottom 20%, which Meta asks to keep free of text in those ads. Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp publish no size for an ordinary story, status or Facebook photo that we could verify, so using these files there is our suggestion. The caption is counted against the 2,200 characters in Meta's developer documentation and the 5 hashtags Instagram Help allows on a post.
Offers on festival posts
ASCI's code says advertisements must be truthful and that claims about facts must be capable of substantiation. The CCPA's 2022 guidelines on misleading advertisements say a disclaimer must not hide material information and should be in the same language as the claim, and its 2023 dark patterns guidelines list false urgency. So when you add an offer, the tool puts its dates and conditions on the post and in the caption, and flags words such as "best", "No. 1", "free" or "last chance" for you to check. This is not legal advice.
What this tool cannot do
It does not post for you or sign in to Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp, and it does not use photos or AI. The greetings are fixed lines we wrote, so read them before you post. Hindi letters need a Devanagari font on your device: the tool checks this and warns you if the letters would show as boxes. Festival dates come from our calendar, and some, such as Eid, depend on the sighting of the moon. Your logo stays in the open tab and is not saved, so open it again next time.
Frequently asked questions
What size should a festival post be for Instagram and WhatsApp status?
For an Instagram feed post, 1080 × 1350 (4:5) or 1080 × 1080 (square): Instagram Help supports shapes from 1.91:1 to 4:5 at 1080 pixels wide. For a story or WhatsApp status, the tool makes 1080 × 1920 (9:16), the size Meta recommends for Stories ads. WhatsApp publishes no status size we could verify, so 9:16 there is our suggestion.
Can I make the greeting in Hindi?
Yes. Choose हिन्दी for ready lines in Devanagari, or Hinglish for Hindi in English letters, and change the words as you like. The image keeps the letters as pixels, so they look the same on every phone. Your browser needs a Devanagari font to draw them; the tool checks this and tells you if it is missing.
Can I put an offer on my festival post?
Yes, with its dates and conditions, which the tool shows under the offer and in the caption. ASCI's code says advertisements must be truthful and claims capable of substantiation, and the CCPA's 2022 guidelines say a disclaimer must not hide material information. Only say "limited" or "last chance" if it is true: the CCPA's dark patterns guidelines list false urgency. This is not legal advice.
Why are there no pictures of gods or the national flag?
The designs use lights, patterns, borders and colours, so they suit every business and do not use religious images as decoration. The Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950 bars using the national flag for any trade or business without the Central Government's permission, so the Independence Day and Republic Day designs use saffron and green colours without drawing the flag.
Is my logo or text uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser draws the post on your device, and the downloads are made there too. The logo stays in the open tab and is not saved; the other fields are kept in this browser so they are filled in next time. Nothing is sent to our server.
