How to use the Suspension and Policy Appeal Helper

Read what the guide says

This is the Suspension and Policy Appeal Helper.

Understand a suspension or disapproval,

fix it in the right order and appeal with the right evidence.

Paste the message from the notification in your account, Policy manager or Google's email,

or tick what you see. Add your type of business and anything that changed recently.

Or press Try an example to fill in sample details.

Say whether Google has asked for advertiser verification,

and add the deadline from Admin › Policy › Account if there is one.

Work through the plan in order, gather the evidence,

then copy the plan and the appeal text, or print them for your team or agency.

It works from what you paste and tick, and cannot see your account, Google's reasons or your appeal history.

It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.

Try it free on this page.

About the Suspension and Policy Appeal Helper

Paste the message Google showed you, or tick it from a list in Google's own policy names, then add your type of business, whether Google has asked for advertiser verification and what changed recently. You get a recovery plan: what each message means in Google's words with the link, what Google says to fix before you appeal, how to appeal, the India rules that apply, the advertiser verification checklist with your deadline, the evidence to gather, what not to do and an appeal text to fill in. It runs in your browser, and the rules were checked against Google Ads Help on 16 October 2026.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Paste the message from the notification in your account, Policy manager or Google's email, or tick what you see. Add your type of business and anything that changed recently.

  2. Step 2

Say whether Google has asked for advertiser verification, and add the deadline from Admin › Policy › Account if there is one.

  3. Step 3

Work through the plan in order, gather the evidence, then copy the plan and the appeal text, or print them for your team or agency.

Suspensions, pauses and disapprovals are different

A disapproved ad cannot run, and an ad marked Eligible (limited) runs only in some places or to some people; you fix the ad or page and appeal in Policy manager. A paused account usually needs a payment check or advertiser verification finished. A suspended account stops all ads. For egregious policies, such as circumventing systems, unacceptable business practices and counterfeit, Google suspends without a warning and reinstates accounts only in compelling circumstances, such as a mistake.

How appeals work

You have at least 6 months from a suspension to appeal it, with one appeal for each suspended account; sending many appeals for the same suspension can mean none are processed. Some advertisers must pass advertiser verification first. For ads, Google allows 3 appeals per ad, asks you to wait 24 hours between appeals for the same ads, and since 21 July 2026 decisions older than 6 months cannot be appealed from the account.

What this tool cannot do

It works from what you paste and tick, and cannot see your account, Google's reasons or your appeal history. It cannot get an account back: only Google decides an appeal. The evidence lists, the order of work and the appeal text are our suggestions, and this is not legal advice. Google changes its policies often, so open the linked page before you act.

Frequently asked questions

Can I open a new Google Ads account if mine is suspended?

No. Google's circumventing systems policy does not allow creating new accounts after a suspension, and accounts related to a suspended account, for example by email, payment method or manager account, may be suspended too. Fix the cause and appeal the original account instead.

How long do I have to appeal a suspension?

Google says all advertisers have at least 6 months from the date of suspension to appeal. Without a successful appeal, the suspension is permanent. Send one complete appeal for each suspended account, after you have fixed the problem.

How many times can I appeal a disapproved ad?

Up to 3 times per ad. After 3 unsuccessful appeals, Google will not process more for that ad until you contact Google Ads support. Wait at least 24 hours between appeals for the same ads, or they are marked as duplicates.

What happens if I miss the advertiser verification deadline?

Google pauses the account. You have 30 days from the notice, the deadline cannot be extended, and once paused the account runs ads again only after you complete verification. Reviews take up to 5 business days, and in rare cases up to 30 days, so start early.

Which documents does Google accept for advertiser verification in India?

Organisations can give a registration document such as a GST certificate or certificate of incorporation, plus a government-issued photo ID of an authorised representative. Individuals give an Indian government-issued photo ID; a PAN card counts only as the physical card, and Google lists Aadhaar as not acceptable. Names must match your payments profile.
