Pages to keep whatever the numbers (optional)

One URL or path per line; a path part such as /services/ keeps every page under it. Contact, about and policy pages are kept anyway.

Published or updated dates (optional)

URL | date, day first or 2023-04-11. These replace the sitemap's lastmod. Saved in this browser only.

Getting the files

1 Open your sitemap (often yoursite/sitemap.xml) and save it, or copy it and paste it. If it is a sitemap index, open the sitemaps it lists and paste them together.
2 In Search Console, open Performance › Search results, set the date range (12 months works well), open the Pages tab and export it as CSV.
3 Add the pages you always keep, then work through the plan from the top.
