1. Where you start
Leave the month empty to start next month. Add cash in hand to the balance; put a minus sign before an overdraft.
The least you want in the bank at the end of any month. Our suggestion: about one month of regular costs. Use one month of my monthly costs
2. Money coming in from sales
Type sales before GST: the planner adds GST from the rate in step 3. Use a minus sign for falling sales.
The share of sales paid in cash, UPI or card on the day, and how long customers on credit take to pay.
From a new branch, product or contract, before GST.
Busy and slow months (optional)
A festival rush, a new session or a quiet month: the change on that month's sales, every year.
3. Stock and GST
What you pay for the goods you sell, before GST, and how long your suppliers let you take. 0 for most service businesses.
Not registered for GST? Leave both at 0: without registration you cannot charge GST or claim input tax credit. Type the rates you use; check them with your CA. GST is paid the month after the sale.
4. Money going out
Rent, salaries, loan EMIs, tax payments such as TDS or advance tax (the amounts your CA gives you), and one-off costs such as a deposit or equipment. Type what you pay, including any GST.
5. Other money in (optional)
Money that is not sales: your own money put in, a loan already sanctioned, a deposit coming back.

6. Scenarios and loan sizing
How bad a bad year looks, and the loan terms used to size a loan if cash runs short. The figures here are our suggestions and an example rate, not a lender's offer.
Both changes start from the first month of the plan. The loan rate is an example: type the rate a lender offers you.
